In August 2024, Young Women's Alliance unveils the landmark Young Women's Policy Submission (YWPS), comprising findings and recommendations from our 2-year nationally representative research project.
Through a listening tour, gender survey, long-form interviews, literature review, and expert consultations, we have developed a compelling picture of young Australian women's life experiences and outcomes in 10 core areas (i.e. education, career, finances, safety, health, political agency).
Our research has targeted data gaps in the Australian gender landscape, and identified optimal points of intervention in young people's lives.
The data is clear: Gender is pervasive — it seeps into everything in a way society has failed to account for, let alone manage or mitigate. Young women’s vulnerability is pronounced; solutions and investments targeted to this demographic are needed.
YWPS hopes to provide them.
